KuMushi's founder, Chulu Chansa is a Zambian native. As a young,
self-taught designer, Chulu takes pride in her culture. Growing up, she
explored her interest in fashion by managing models, organizing pageants,
studying 3-D textiles and submitting original pieces in local fashion shows.
Having travelled and studied in Europe and the US for 7 years, Chulu's style
is eclectic yet still has an African flair. In college, Chulu founded and
chaired a fashion club. During her time as chair, the club hosted three
successful Spring Fashion Shows.
After graduating in 2008, KuMushi was realised.
Proudly based out of Kabwe, Zambia, KuMushi is a brand for women who
embrace afro-chic designs. True to its African heritage, KuMushi provides
its clients with one on one consultations to make outfits that are bold,
unique and tailor fitted.
